MSA Foundation Announcement

 

Hello MSA Friends and Families,

 

As you are probably well aware, the Covid19 coronavirus has arrived in Marin.  Marin Health and Human Services released a recommendation on Monday, March 9 that all gatherings of 100 people or more be canceled or postponed.  Your MSA Foundation Board is taking these recommendations seriously, and, in consultation with school administration, has decided to POSTPONE our annual MSA Showcase benefit event, scheduled for Saturday, March 28.  This was a difficult but necessary decision.  We are committed to the health and well being of our students, faculty, families and community.  Holding a large event at this time seems out of step with the reality of our current public health environment. 

 

This situation is changing and evolving every day.  Our hope is to reschedule the event for a weekend in May, if conditions allow.  Showcase is a dearly loved event that celebrates our artistic community.  It also helps to raise vital funds to run the MSA program.  We are currently considering different ideas to create opportunities for our families and friends to support our program.  Please know that if you’ve already purchased tickets to Showcase, we are prepared to offer you a full refund.  But we hope that you will consider donating the cost of your tickets to the MSA Foundation to help lessen our losses.  If you are comfortable with waiting for specific logistics, we will send details on ticket postponement or donation as soon as we can.
